Some of the flowers I got a pattern off the internet there name is on the pdf file, sorry I forgot where I got it. These flowers were hard to make some of the cricut cuts were a guess and mix and match of flower parts. but they are cute. Shout out to Elizabeth Humphery !! Thank you for your beautiful paper flowers they were so inspiring I had to try them… and thank you for all the fun in a box… WhiteRoseTemplate

I took a photo of the art work , I love the way her hair came out , I used texture paste and mixed black acrylic paint in then drew her hair with a stylus tip….I gave her layers FUN STUFF!!!

8×8 Journal page made from a folder………

The Journal page is made from a regular file folder . measure 4 by 8 when closed and opened its 8×8. these are so fun to make and decorate. this one I made for a group Iam in. its a 1 on 1 trade. I hope she likes it.. The trade was a nature.. I had a lot of fun with this one..

Make a charm with buttons……………..

I used Dress it up Buttons but any brand with clip ins will work.

dress it up buttons they are sold at most hobby stores by the bag full.

press down on the card stock to make a circle pattern in the paper and then cut it out.

Set the photo inside and check for fit trim if needed,Now add glue to button and place photo inside.

Enter paper glaze of choice this is what I had at the time. { now I use Crystal lacquer}

Torn tissue paper and White gesso layered papers .This one is way better in person then on line. My art journal is almost finished..

I love the pearlized paper for her see thru shirt and sleeves. And the layered yellow and orange in her dress I tried to make it look like she was holding up her skirt to keep it dry.really need to work on that more..

mix media art torn paper, magazine papers,tissue papers,and scrapbook paper. I added magazine pieces of grass and mountains and some flowers I sort of made it a collage as I didn’t have enough of the same photo to cover the back ground I was so excited to just add wheat and grass and flowers and it looked like it belonged.’I also gave her a cool slip showing and used earth tone colors for the ground this is a great way to use my scraps of scrap book papers.the socks is White texture “BASIC ” paper. I tore it straight up and down to give the socks a ribbed look. and I hand made the pansy flower on her shoe,with matching black and purple tissue paper. I did layers on her dress of light blue and then purple strips. love how she turned out………

Not one of my best , but sometimes we need to show the ones that didn’t go as planned. I have more that I really love… but hey its not in the trash so its just ok… LOL…….torn tissue papers, mulberry paper black textured card stock, Bob Ross white gesso.

April is national poetry month… so in honor I did this puffin

learning about torn paper art….. and sharing it ……

First theres lots of ways to do this some people just use nothing but magazine tears and the tears are the finished lines with the ways of the tears and its all in the directions of the tears up or downward lines..Some artist just use scrapbook paper, and some use painted papers they paint papers then tear them… I do all the above now whatever the mood strikes me. So here’s one I just finished doing wish I could remember the original artist name that did this in a painting……. I think she did an oil painting of this of sorts…

start off with a sketch , draw a rough likeness ……

I started off with doing the legs using only magazine flesh photos …faces arms whatever your fancy for the color did the up and down tears with no white.

when tearing the skin for legs place like doing puzzle see if it fits tear . move it around see where it looks good if you don’t like it glue another over it. save your torn papers because you’ll need them on another project as this is very addictive art……… especially if you’r good at puzzles and matching colors and piece placements…. this will be a breeze for you…… for the background went for green bush and grass tree look. and did the brown but covered it up later because I hated it with the brown.

the socks are torn texture paper I tore the paper in lengths and glued them one on top of the other to look like the socks are rubbed , or that was what I thought anyways it worked for me… LOL

next I believe, I did the souls of the shoes and black magazine shadows.

scissors are showing to cut edges ends straight to paper .

then I did the shoes tear paper sort of rounded in the direction of the shoe so it flows and looks round at the ends. you could also add shading with a red marker on here… up to you…and then ground area …

this is so addictive once you start you won’t be able to stop making them……. I found another fun art paper project…

my art cups …………..

I have been seeing cups stacked up like this all over the art world and , I love them… they just call out to me so as always monkey see monkey do !!! LOL!!! Mines slightly different in the coffee color background as most others went for bright cheerful colors.And I just got a Brand new Faber-Castell artist pen WRITES IN WHITE!!!!!!!!. If you were looking for stock to invest in go with art supplies made by These people as I shall be buying more of their products.. O.K. its kind of a running joke as I am spending money alot of on their products… . maybe I should be their promoter? LOL….. Any ways I had way too much fun making this fun page.and yes these are cricut cups…… oh the wonderful world of cricut!!!!

Dylusions ink sprays my new love!!!

oh my new stash is so much fun, love my new stencils ,inks and paints …….. And papers are aw-w-esome !!! I feel like a little girl at art class and its finger paint day!!!!! So I got to use the new diamond shape stencil…. soooooo neat to actually own stencils I didn’t make myself!! .The colors of my dylusions sprays rock I need to look up just what colors they do have…… ohhh, maybe later because I’ll want them, and I want this satisfied happy feeling to last .. Brand new fun mix media art stuff rocks thanks to my family…….. oh and I finally got to use the YES glue on my collage birds and torn paper art. YES what a strange name for glue ,must be an interesting story behind that name.. Any ways LOVE IT !! it ‘s great for gluing small areas as its kind of hard to spread around, it’s pretty thick stuff.but I like it..

I have been playing with my new papers and experimenting with textures of papers and tearing them and using them in my art journals trying to figure out this whole torn paper look , I am adding markers and some black ink and prints to them. I really need more black mulberry papers… got to look at the different types of texture papers….I am really enjoying this! what fun…..

Iam also playing with torn magazine art pages and collages.working on the lady. she is really hard to do looking for magazine photos with ladie’s skin colors so many pages of people and skin colors to tear ….and get just right to fit. like a puzzle…. any ways here she is so far……..

I Had so much fun doing this black and white page ,with a splash of one other color. kind of manly.I have a bunch of fun pages . Got a box of fun from My husband…. of inks, geltos,stencils and pens……..this page I did make my own wavy lines stencils. and used texture magic on them. I know nothing about poker game so the cards may be helter skelter.LOL….I didn’t take the time to read the rules after I printed them out on the computer or I would have had a winning hand for sure. … But it was all so fun to do up…..

Session 4-Focal Point: Words, Images Session 5-Details: Pen, Pencil

Session 4: Focal Point
Words-think magazine ads, alphabet stickers, newspaper headlines, print outs, etc.
Images-think magazines pics, downloaded graphics, die cuts, family photos, etc.
When you’re gathering supplies you might be tempted to hand pick items for each individual page. Don’t do it! Flip through your journal to get an idea for what you might want to use. CLOSE your journal then go to your stash and pick out a bunch of possible items to use as a focal point for your pages. Choose more than you will need so that you will have the freedom to change your mind or head in a different direction at the last minute.

If you need to secure any of your collaged items, this is a good time to do that. No time limit, just take whatever time you need to secure down any loose edges with whatever glue you prefer to use.

Session 5: Details
Pens-think drawing pens, paint pens, markers, gel pens, etc.
Pencils-think graphite, colored pencils, charcoal, pastels, chalks, etc.
You’re going to want a lot more time for this session but don’t cheat yet! Make simple marks and shapes, outline a few images, start a doodled border, etc. Just do a little something on each page.

All 5 sessions will take you an hour and 15 minutes. When you’re done, you might have a completed 20 page journal but it’s more likely that you will have 20 pages that you’re absolutely dying to continue working on! From here you can repeat the process again, or schedule your own 15 minute free play sessions where you make the rules. You might have some strong ideas about where you want your pages to go and you don’t feel like you need the time limit anymore. Go for it!!

journaling by 5’s Session 3-Pattern: Stamps, Stencils

well I finally got some free time to play today. and staying true to my nature the timer wasn’t set today.. I enjoy it more with out thinking of a timer. Kind of freaks me out… and makes me feel like school days and timed test. !! Which I never seemed to handle well , Never do well under pressure.. But It just seemed like I would see things appear and I so wanted to do my idea it right away.. But I am trying so hard to stay in the rules best I can.. NEED TO Give my self a slap with a ruler on the hand.. LOL….. but I am having a hard time to stop working on the journal…….And just when I think I know what I am gonna do something else happens and the page gets a totally different look…..so it’s a real fun time and thats what its all about

journaling by 5’s session 2 texture

Session 2: Texture
Collage/Craft-think die cuts, punched shapes, decorative borders, scrapbook paper, tags, stickers, washi tape, etc.
Recycled-think product packaging, receipts, candy wrappers, junk mail, book pages, note pads, etc.
These 2 categories are very similar but there is a difference: one is for items that are intended for craft purposes and you can typically buy them in a craft store. The other is for recycled items or things you find around your house. Make sense? It’s okay to tear these down into smaller pieces before you get started and make sure you have a variety to choose from. Use a glue stick, tape runner or other quick drying glue for this step. Just put a dab in the middle of the item and get it stuck down. You can go back later to secure the edges.

I decided to add a pocket to the journal because I used to add them in my atcs book holders and thought why not. Now The whole timmer thing just isn’t working out for me . I find myself getting so involved with what I am doing that I kind of tune out everything else and things going on around me is basically back ground noise…… Not sure if it has to do with being in a large family and having lots of brothers and sisters all doing different things at the same time . So I used to tone out on things… My mom said I had selective hearing. And it works pretty much for me…..LOL… ok I broke the rules again…. 15 minutes……. was more like an hour…. but I did do the whole book so , many I cheated a little, but I am enjoying the process of not thinking everything out and having no plan until It flashes before what that blue looks like water…. I have some graphics that goes with this!!!!! and I was off and running again….. ok thanks for looking all.

So I started off by glueing pages together to make a sturdier page, and so exciting…. I am painting one color over my pages to begin because I really dont want to see models sporting bras that actually fit in them…x and other things too distracting …so one color blotting out I hope its not a rule breaker plan,,, hahaaaa….. then I shall choose paints and inks for the timed part of 5mins. I LOVING THIS SO FAR……. I am back and I have done the first step need to get out the camera and photo the pages so far…… and I did go over the 5 mins… I couldn’t help myself . I was having so much fun doing free style painting that I ended up doing both sides of the pages. And so this is where I am at . And I am enjoying this journey more then I thought…. a few pages I don’t care for but … I am going with it…. now too watch part 2 videos ……later as I shall post as I go thru the steps.

I was playing around with ink sprays, and texture magic. I am running low on that stuff so I decided to make my own. with the baby powder…….Its like a cross between spackle and mud… I must have had been holding my tongue wrong , because it s working more like quick sand then a medium , and When it finally dries . It cracks and falls off what a mess. I think I’ll just buy it instead… LOL… 50 percent off coupons are needed… well I scraped it off and started it over again. so the dimension isn’t quite what I wanted on the cupid angel. but shes good for now until I get more texture…

Can I have some more petite marshmallows in my hot cocoa?

this one was different it was a start of a winter photo taken by one of my sons and I printed it in black and white . then used my water color pens and white out for snow and water colors for my raccoon, layered the windows wit double sided sticky tape to give it the depth. and added plastic from projector sheet for window.. its so cold out and stormy the poor raccoon’s looking for pietie marshmallows for his HOT cocoa… {from running Scared….. Mama. Mama! Out here! Hey, Gonzales. ….. Can I have some more petite marshmallows in my hot cocoa?

Its all I could think of ….LOL…………………….

I finished another journal page , I wasn’t sure about adding it to the Journal52 Faceboook group , but decided to add it.. .And Wow was surprised at how many comments I got there, And likes. I am thinking no one reads blogs any more that facebook is where everyone is now a days. but I am keeping this account , I am too old to learn any more new ways. LOL… Hopefully I can get more people back to my blog so I don’t need to link and chase.. I am using TLC CREATIONS I love the freebies and so happy I get to use them.. Thank her whenever you can.. they are wonderful…

This piece of art was a lot of fun I finally got some new Dylusion’s INK SPRAYS!!!!! I love Christmas money… LOL… anyways I used the words quote from tlc , my new sprays,magic marker {black} for the stars, and then Crystal lacquer.. OH I DO LOVE THAT STUFF!!!
